Apple has taken another significant step in its technology ecosystem by unveiling AppleCare One, a new subscription service designed to protect multiple Apple devices under a single plan. Specifically developed for users who want to safeguard their iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch in one bundle, this service stands out with its ease of use and cost-saving benefits.
The new plan will officially launch in the United States on July 24. From this date, users will no longer need to purchase separate AppleCare plans for each device. Instead, they can subscribe to a centralized plan, either by visiting Apple retail stores or applying online.
What Does AppleCare One Offer?
Subscribers of AppleCare One can cover the maintenance and repair of three devices for $19.99 per month. Additional devices can be added for $5.99 per device, allowing users to consolidate their coverage and simplify device management.
According to Apple, the new plan can save users up to $11 per month compared to purchasing separate AppleCare+ plans. This makes AppleCare One an attractive option for users with multiple Apple products.
The plan is also highly flexible. Users can easily add or remove devices from the subscription. In case of device replacement or trade-in, coverage is transferred to the new device, eliminating administrative hassle.
Key Features of AppleCare One
- Priority technical support and battery replacement
- Unlimited repairs for accidental damage
- Unlimited accidental damage coverage for enrolled devices
- Theft and loss insurance for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch
- Coverage options for other products like Mac, Vision Pro, AirPods, and HomePod
This comprehensive protection extends beyond physical damage to include technical issues as well. Unlike App Store–based services, AppleCare One is tied directly to the device and integrated into Apple’s service infrastructure.
Coverage for Devices Up to Four Years Old
One standout feature of AppleCare One is its flexibility regarding device age. Apple states that users can include devices up to four years old, provided they are in good condition. This means older devices that were never enrolled in AppleCare+ can now be protected.
This flexibility may change how Apple users manage their devices. For instance, an older iPad or Mac that is no longer eligible for traditional AppleCare plans can still be added to AppleCare One.
Moreover, if users replace a device (such as through a trade-in), the system will automatically remove the old device and add the new one, ensuring seamless coverage transition.
Easier Device Protection with AppleCare One
AppleCare One marks a strategic evolution in Apple’s service offerings. For users who own multiple Apple devices, this new system simplifies protection plans, reduces costs, and offers a more manageable subscription experience.
While there’s no official release date for Turkey yet, Apple is expected to expand the plan globally in the near future. This move is seen as part of Apple’s broader strategy to make device maintenance more transparent, accessible, and cost-effective.
